Amy was crowned our 2015 winner of Face Of The Globe live on stage in Disneyland Paris in October.

We caught up with her to see how she was feeling and find out a little more about the girl behind the crown.

1. Could you tell us what you enjoyed the most about the competition and what winning has meant to you?

I have so many amazing memories to choose from, I find it quite difficult to just pick out one thing!

BUT I have to say that being able to share the whole experience with my daughter Lara made the competition even more magical.

Winning was a complete surprise, I was so overwhelmed I couldn’t even walk. I met so many wonderful ladies, each individual and beautiful, and the experience as a whole was simply amazing, so winning was a compete honour.

I will never forget all the crazy emotions I felt when Lucie called out my name as the winner.

2.       If you could be any Disney character which one would you be and why?

I would like to say Cinderella as her story reminds me a little of my life, but I think I would be Rapunzel, because her character is most like mine, shes a little crazy and a bit of a tomboy at heart.

3. Who is your role model and why?

I do not specifically have just one role model.

There have been many people in my life that I have been inspired by and I have learned valuable life lessons from them along the way.

My brother has always been the most inspirational person in my life and I have always looked to him for advice and support.

3.       In the future, if you won the lottery what would you spend your winnings on?

I would buy mother a lovely house, where she could retire, I would give some to my brother, who has been continuously supportive throughout my life.

I personally would like to take some time of working and dedicate some of my time, and money, working with a number of charities.

I would travel the world with my daughter and go and spend a few months with my brother in Australia.

4.  Following your win in Disneyland Paris your next 18 months as Face Of The Globe are bound to be incredible, what things would you like to achieve over the coming months?

I have many goals and ambitions as the new Face of The Globe, and I am excited to see what the future holds.

I hope to be able to work closely with the team to achieve some of these goals, and I am sure that the team have a few things up their sleeves that will also keep me busy.

5. What do you love most about your home town and or country?

Wales is a beautiful country, I love the country side and the coastal areas such as the Gower and Mumbles.

I have lived in England for the last 3 years and it’s true what they say, ‘Home is where your  heart is’, I have the most amazing friends and family here in Wales and I am relieved to be living back here as I had missed them all so much.

 6. In 5 years time where would you like to be with your career and your home life?

I have always had a dream of being a solicitor, owing my own legal practice. However this will take more than 5 years, so I hope to be at least a qualified solicitor working within the legal industry.

I would like to educate Lara Lou (my daughter), about the world and take her to as many different countries as I can. I want us to be happy and healthy.

7.  What are your achievements in life?

I was an international Rhythmic Gymnast until the age of 17. I was fortunate enough to travel the world competing for Wales and GB, at national and international level, competitions included the Commonwealth Games.

I have been studying law for many years, I have a LLB Law degree, and am currently studying my Legal Practice Course and a Masters in Criminal Law and Justice.

My biggest achievement is Lara Lou, I am so proud of her, I have always studied and worked whilst bringing her up, and even though it has been tough, and I have very little sleep, being a good mother to her is more important to me than anything. We are very close and I can easily say she’s my best friend!

8. Do you have any hobbies, if so what are they and how did you get into them?

I am addicted to exercise, I love it!

I will always find time in the day to do something. I usually run on my treadmill at midnight, because once I have finished work/studying and house work, it’s the only time I have free to keep fit!

I am passionate about Arial sport. I am a polefit dancer, it’s a difficult sport to master and it keeps me motivated as there is always something new to learn.

 9. What do you enjoy the most about your life?

I love my life at the moment, I live in a very quiet part of Wales and I have a routine… finally!

The weekends are my favourite, because I get time to spend with Lara, I always try to take her somewhere different and we go for lunch together, it’s cute.

Spending time with my friends and family is important to me, I love nights in and chatting, I am a bit of a hermit, I do not like going out for nights out.

10. What are you currently studying?

As mentioned above I am studying to become a Solicitor, I am studying with the University of Law London.

11. What are your dislikes?

– I don’t eat meat and dislike cruelty to animals

– I dislike all kinds of poverty

– I dislike people who waste

– I don’t like people who gossip

12.   How would you describe yourself?

I am active, self-motivated, loving and honest.

I tend to focus on a few things at once rather than prioritising.

I am slightly chaotic, and organisation is not my strong point.

I am always fair and I always try to see the good in everyone and in any given situation.

I have very strong sense of determination, and so long as I am not hurting anyone else, when I set a goal for myself I tend to work very hard to achieve it!
